We scouted out Conrad Jaeger Park aka Thurn Marsh Park as a put-in to get into the Yahara. (map) The idea is to paddle through Lower Mud Lake and take out at Fish Camp on Lake Kegonsa. The entire route is no wake – always!
“Jaeger canoe launch is a Wisconsin DNR property named after Conrad and Ruth Jaeger who were long active in environmental and cultural preservation. Visitors can take the path on the northwest side of the property to Indian Mound Park where the Lewis Group of mounds is located. (source)
Conclusion – Good
The put-in looked great and we hope to use it soon. There is some nice signage.
