We shuttled our friend’s car to the Olbrich boat take-out then “escorted” them in our canoe down the Yahara River from Tenney Park to Lake Monona. At that point we circled back to Tenney, and they paddled the lake to their car.
We saw more fish than we ever have plus a heron, oriole, lots of redwing blackbirds, hairy woodpecker, and ducks.
This is an urban paddle that we do a couple of times a year – sometimes just to clear our brain cells.
